Shri Digamber Jain Mandir, Choudhury Bazar, Cuttack (Odisha)

The temple bears the memory of the eighth Tirthankar, Chandraprabhu. The statue of Mahaveer available in this temple is believed to be built in 1448 AD. The statues in this temple are made of stone. The main temple faces towards East.

In the front stays ‘Padmaprabhu’, in the middle ‘Parhwanath’ and in the inner most chamber stays ‘Chandraprabhu’.

The major festivals celebrated here include ‘MahaveerJayanti’, ‘RakshaBandhan’, ‘Das LakshyanParv’ and Deepawali etc.

The temple is built in sandstoneand is said to be the tallest building in Cuttack. The height of this temple is 71 feet. There are 3 mandaps in the temple. The statues of 24 Tirthankars are available here. A building having 15 rooms has also been built for the tourists. The flag at the top contains five colours have ‘Swastik’ at the middle. 

Accomodation: A building having 15 rooms has been built for the Yatris.
