Shri 1008 Mahavir Swami Digamber Jain Atishay Kshetra, Dahigaon, District-Solapur (Maharashtra)

Around 200 hundred years back Bramhachari Mahatisagarji had come to this place and thought that a temple should be built here. He started building a temple bringing one stone after the other and today we have a huge temple and a Dharamshala with Gurukul.

Main idol of this jain temple is Lord Mahaveer in sitting posture (5.5 feet in hight) installed in Vikram Samvat 1853.

On left side of this idol is Lord Adinath and right side Lord Parshwanath.

Next of this sanctorum there is Lord Prshwanath in standing posture (3.2 feet in hight). It is said that a farmer found this idol in ground of his field. Underground Idols: Something unique about this place is the huge Idols installed underground. 20 tirthankar of Videh kshetra installed. All idols are same in height (4.4 feet) and color with bigger Simandhar Idol at one end. Its a lifetime experience to feel the Aura of these underground idols. A huge 'panchadhatu' (5 metals) 'sahastrakut' (1008) idols in the center. A 9 feet Padmasan Adinath Idol is also worth see. The other side of the Temple has as 18 feet Babubali Idol in standing posture. With few more unique and artistic idols. All these Idols and temples within come under a single huge temple. A well equipped Dharamshala with a huge hall and Gurukul runs where around 30 students study. A polytechnic college is being planned into, in an area very close to the Temple and Village.
