Shri Bhadini Tirth, Jain Ghat, Shivala, Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh)

Bhadaini is a part of holy city Banaras also famous as Varanasi or Kashi. Some part of the history of this period is provided with Bhelupur Teerth. In those days Ikshvaku Vanshi king Pratishtha and queen Prithvidevi were ruling this place. Once queen saw nightmare containing signs indicating birth of Teerthankar. At the same moment (in Anuradhaa nakshatra on Bhadrava Krishna Ashtami) the soul of Nandikshen entered in the kuktchhi (ovary) of queen Prithvidevi. After completion of period she gave birth to a male child having markings of Swastik on his body. Devtas celebrated this pleasing occasion (Janm Kalyanak). In his younger stage he ruled this place for quite long period. One day he decided to accept Deeksha and fulfilled his wish at Sahasamravan along with one thousand other kings. Spending nine months in tour he again came to the same place and started meditation under a Sareesh tree, where he attained Kevalgyan.
