SHRI PEDAMIRAM TIRTH
Sri Adhinath Bhagwan in black color seated in a lotus posture, of height 118cms, in a shrine in the village of Pedamiram (Shve).
It is difficult to have an appropriate guess about the antiquity of this shrine. From the sculpture style of the idol, it appears that it is older than two thousand years. This magnificent idol was discovered from under the ground 80 years ago while digging. It was ceremonially installed in this newly constructed temple at the hands of revered Muni Sri Nandanviajyji Maharaj amidst scenes of great popular enthusiasm on Maha Sukla 8, in the Vikram year 2021. After proper renovation it was again ceremonially installed on Jyest Krishna Panchami in Vikram year 2036 by Sri Bhadranandvijayji Maharaj.
It is said that when the idol was discovered from under the ground, people around not realizing its significance kept it in an unclean place, Within a week thereafter there were disturbances and loss of peace in the area. People immediately learnt about the sacrilege they had committed and only after repentance when they made proper amends by installing the idol with devotion and enthusiasm to the accompaniment of prayerful music at a more appropriate place, the area once again obtained normality and became quiet. The idol is believed to be a great worker of miracles.
Every year on Karthik Poornima, a festival is held here when thousands of devotees gather to participate in offering prayers and worship.
There is no other temple in the area nearby.
