SHREE SHAMLA PARSHVANATH BHAGWAN

Mulnayak: Nearly 35 cms. high black – coloured idol of Shri Shyamala Parshvanath Bhagwan in the Padmasana posture. There is an umbrella of 7 hoods over the head of the idol.
Tirth: It is in Shyamalaji ni Pole in the city of Ahmedabad.
Historicity: This is an ancient temple belonging to the 17th century. It was built by Sanghvi Somji and his brother Shiva, the descendants of Minister Vastupal, in V.S.1656. The wood carvings in this temple is breath-taking.The scenes of Kalyanak Mahotsavs of Thirthankaras is beautifully carved in wood and is unique. There is no comparison for it. This temple is very famous for its extraordinary carvings done in wood. The marble idol of Bhagwan Parshvanath in Kausagga mudra is very impressive and beautiful. This idol of Shyamala Parshvanath is ancient, alluring and influential.

श्यामवर्णीय यह प्रतिमाजी सात फने से युक्त १४ इंच ऊँची व १२ इंच चौड़े है| यह प्रतिमाजी अत्यंत प्राचीन व मनमोहक और प्रभावक है।जिनालय का काष्ट शिल्प उत्कृष्ट है।
